We Love Kids
One of the most important goals at the Midland YMCA is to provide kids in our community with opportunities to enrich their lives through participation in safe and fun activities with other kids. We don't want to leave anyone out!
Giving youth a nurturing place to go and participate benefits everyone! By introducing children to experiences that will help them grow into responsible, contributing adults, we help the Midland community be a better place to live.
YMCA programs teach youth important values such as honesty, responsibility and respect. Through a variety of fun and rewarding activities, they also develop valuable skills while they gain confidence and self-esteem.
Everyone Participates
We raise funds annually through the "Partners With Youth" campaign to fund scholarships for youth and families who wish to be a part of the YMCA family yet experience financial constraints. To ensure inability to pay does not prevent anyone from joining in the fun, fellowship, growth and learning available through Y programs, we offer applications for scholarships for all programs.
Through our annual support campaign, our donors' contributions help provide program and scholarship funds which are then available to families who meet the requirements for financial assistance. Only by working together with our members and the community to reach our annual fundraising goal can we provide these growth opportunities for youth and families throughout Midland.
Use Of Funds
Funds raised through the annual campaign are utilized to scholarship youth and families in need and to keep costs of the program down. During the past year, the YMCA awarded 4857 scholarships for infant care, preschool, afterschool child care, summer day camp, aquatics, youth sports and memberships totaling $154,372. Our goal is to make it possible to serve more children and families throughout the community. Upon meeting financial assistance guidelines, no one is turned away due to inability to pay a fee!

allows 20 youth (equal to 2 teams) to participate in a full season of a sport where they will learn good sportsmanship, develop skills and have fun

enables 10 children to attend the full 10 weeks of summer day camp where they are safe, have good role models, make new friends, and participate in life-enriching activities
Thanks To Volunteers & Contributors
Each year volunteers, members of the YMCA and Y staff work together to conduct the annual support campaign. The programs supported by the campaign positively affect the quality of life of hundreds of children, families and senior citizens throughout our community. The YMCA is committed to the delivery of quality programs that build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
