Policies

    Fitness:
  • Children younger than 16 are not permitted on the fitness floor unless they are ages 13-15 and have successfully completed the Teen Fitness program.
  • Only YMCA certified staff may conduct personal training or exercise instruction.
  • Athletic shoes and shirts must be worn at all times.
  • No food or drink is allowed on the fitness floor (except for water in pop top bottles).
  • Do not rest on machines between sets.
  • Please return weights to the racks after use.
  • Please wipe off equipment after use.
    Guests:
  • All guests are required to show a photo ID. Guests must follow all YMCA policies. Guests are limited to three (3) visits per year.
  • Non-members may purchase up to 3 guest passes per year:
    Adult Regular Pass$5.00 each
    Youth age 18 and under$2.50 each
    Gymnasium:
  • No food or drink is allowed in the gym.
  • Youth younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult while in the gym.
  • Only athletic shoes are allowed in the gym. No cleats or roller blades. Shoes must be worn to participate in any gym activity.
  • Return balls to carts when finished.
    Membership:
  • Presentation of membership card is required for admittance.
  • 30 days written notice of cancellation is required to deactivate monthly bank draft.
  • The YMCA is not responsible for items left in the facility. Please do not bring valuables to the YMCA.
  • Children older than 4 must use designated locker rooms according to gender.
  • To ensure the safety of our younger members, children 12 and younger must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian, unless they are involved in a supervised program. Children younger than 12 are not permitted on the fitness equipment.
  • Only YMCA staff may conduct personal training or exercise instruction
    Pool:
  • Only YMCA approved flotation devices are allowed in the pool. Children must by well supervised by an adult in the water. Floaties are accepted if an adult is in the water supervising the child.
  • Diving is only allowed in the 9-foot area.
  • Swimsuits are required in the pool.
  • During Family Open Swim, children who are 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
    Video/Photograph Policy
  • The use of cell phones, particularly those equipped with cameras, has become prevalent. The concern of YMCA staff and parents is that it is possible for them to be used for corrupt purposes within locker rooms, restrooms or other areas of the YMCA.

    Generally, the only photography allowed in the YMCA is through the written consent of the Executive Director or by YMCA staff for Y purposes only. We recognize it is difficult to completely ban cell phones from the facility. However, it is difficult to identify which cell phones are capable of taking pictures. The YMCA has adopted the following policy to protect our members, participants, guests and especially children.

    Cellular phone cameras, video recorders, cameras or any other visual recording devices are not allowed within the YMCA locker rooms and restroom facilities. Anyone caught taking pictures of another person in the YMCA or in a YMCA program without permission from the YMCA administrative staff will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and may face termination of their membership.
