School Based After School Care:

On site care offered at 8 MISD schools. Activities include homework help, CATCH, games, Arts and Crafts and outside play. A snack is provided daily. Service offered at Bonham, Burnet, Greathouse, Lamar, Milam, Rusk, Sam Houston and Santa Rita.

Fees: $30 Registration Fee

Y-Based After School Care:

Transportation is provided from school to the Y. In addition to activities offered at School Based After School Care, Y based students attend group exercise classes and has access during program hours to our Youth Fitness Center equipped with interactive arcade games.

Family Member: $190 per month
Program Participant: $285 per month

 

Summer Day Camp:

Camp begins the first day of summer and runs until the first week before school starts. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fun activities include swimming, field trips, computers, arts & crafts, zumba, kid combat, pilates, playing in the gym, playground time and games. All children must bring a sack lunch daily but are provided with a morning and afternoon snack. Field trip costs are included in the weekly fees for all participants.

Holiday Fun Club:

Child care is provided at the Central YMCA for elementary students during spring break, Christmas break, teacher in-service days and scheduled snow days and other times school is not in session and it is not a YMCA holiday. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Activities include arts & crafts, games, computers, gym time, outdoor time and morning and afternoon snacks. Children should bring a sack lunch daily.

Fees: $25 per day or free for after school draft participants

 

Year Round:

Register once and you are automatically signed up for 2012/2013 After School and 2013 Summer Day Camp. Both programs are added together and divided by 12 months for your monthly fee. Become a Family Member and Save. Registration for Year Round Child Care is from August 1 to September 30 only. All payments are made by credit card or bank draft at the first of each month.

Being a working parent these days increases the challenge of raising a child. The YMCA's top priority is to make sure all children are safe and happy. All staff members are certified in CPR/First Aid and have completed Child Abuse Prevention training. They are required to attend at least 15 hours of training in child development each year. All YMCA child care locations are licensed by the Texas Department of Protective Family Services (TDPFS).
